An interesting idea surfaced on the official forums today regarding Bounty Boards. Poster Guide created this argument for people to mull over:

This is a suggestion that would be fun if possible to implement. I would like to see a system of bounty boards put into the game were those with a high amount of infamy could be listed and hunted. Boards could give info about the locations of these players. Of course rewards would be needed for this to be a little more enticing to players i do not know what those should be.

As with the rewards for hunting those with high infamy those being hunted would need a reason to not be the hunter. So for every kill they get when fighting the bounty hunters give them some sort of reward. Those being hunted should not be able to stay in safe zones for to long.

What do you think about this idea? Creating a way to discourage outlaws and also putting more depth behind the system. It gives anti-PK type players a goal or targets to go after while giving those who love being Outlaws a way to actually measure their public image: the bigger the bounty the better!

Personally, I think this would be a fantastic idea, and give players another type of “end-game” content to do on, at the very least, PVP servers. What do you think? Are there ways this could be abused? The only hiccup in this type of system would be that it would be difficult to implement on PVE servers unless you create pvp-specific areas.

Usually fansites do the guides and Game Studios usually either laugh at your incompetence or cheer at your success (behind the scenes of course). Today, TERA released a whole strong of dungeon guides, and as someone who writes them for many games, these are pretty good! They offer a complete sense of the dungeon with boss strategies, lore and a complete overview of the whole instance.

Jeeze EnMasse, talk about doing my job for me! Nice work guys. The only thing they are missing are loot lists. Here’s what they have up so far:

Bastion of Lok
Sinestral Manor
Cultists’ Refuge
Necromancer Tomb
Sigil Adstringo
Golden Labyrinth

Keep an eye on this page for more dungeon guides as they complete them.

New Stuff and Changes

Applied following changes to character transfers:

  • Level requirement will now be ten (was five). The new server has standards, you know.
  • Cooldown time for transfers per character will now be seven days (was 24 hours).
  • Amount of gold allowed during transfer will now be 30,000 (was 100,000).

Updated daily quest reset time:

  • Reset time will now be 8 a.m. PDT (was 7 p.m. PDT). Nothing says “You’re still up?” like a new set of dailies.

New Zone Channel Settings

  • Reduced the number of players needed to create a new zone channel.

Chat Channel Changes

  • Adjusted the timer on the LFG Channel to one message per minute to reduce global spam. Seriously, it’s not Barrens chat, people.
